WE ARE STILL OPEN and WE ARE STILL DELIVERING. However, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, CB Pet Food & Supplies has enacted temporary changes to its day to day operation. Those changes will be listed here and may change without notice. All these measures are temporary and we look forward to returning to business as usual in the near future. Above all else, please take care.

RETAIL LOCATION TEMPORARY MEASURES

Limited In-store Shopping with Physical Distancing and Masks

CB Pet Food & Supplies has resumed allowing customers inside its store. However, in the interest of maintaining physical distancing, the following must be observed:

  • maximum of 2 customers may be in the store at one time
  • only 1 customer per family may be in the store at one time
  • Please use the hand sanitizer provided upon entering the store
  • A FACE MASK MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES
    • Note: face masks must cover both the mouth AND THE NOSE

By reducing the number of people who enter our store at one time, we can maintain good physical distancing and reduce the number of people who come in contact with the products and staff. By wearing masks, we reduce the spread of germs between customers, staff, and surfaces in our small store.

Customers who enter our store must follow physical distancing guidelines by staying six feet apart from other customers and staff. Our floors are marked with arrows and Xs to denote directions to move and six foot spacing.

Employees working on the sales floor while customers are inside will also be following the mask and physical distancing rules above and continue to routinely use hand sanitizer and wipes to clean their hands and surfaces in the store.

Additionally, we have installed a plexiglass shield on the front counter to protect our customers and staff.

Unfortunately, do to the small aisles and limited staff in our store, masks are not optional. If for any reason you cannot wear a mask (or you prefer not to), we will gladly serve you through curbside pickup either called ahead or ordered at the front door.

Additionally, if you cannot wear a mask, you immediately qualify for FREE delivery regardless of purchase type or price. Please see our delivery section below for full details.

Curbside Pickup Continues

We continue to offer curbside pickup. Knock on our door and one of our staff members will be happy to take your order at the door and retrieve the products. Once you have paid for the products, we will place them outside the door for you to collect.

When requesting curbside pick-up, we stress that you make sure the item you are purchasing is correct. If you do not know what product you normally buy, such as your pet's food, consider photographing the product with your mobile phone to confirm that it is correct when purchased at a later date. This can help avoid any unnecessary returns.

Call Ahead Pick-up

If you'd like to place an order ahead of time for pick up, please call us at 519-893-3743 and we will prepare the order for you. You may choose to pay over the phone with a Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard) or pay when you pick-up.

When you arrive at our store, you can proceed with curbside pick-up or enter the store to finish the transaction.

Carry-Outs

We are offering carry-outs again. Please allow for physical distancing while we place your products in your vehicle. Employees will be wearing masks while doing carry-outs.

Preferred Methods of Payment

As part of our physcial distancing measures, our preferred methods of payment are:

  • TAP enabled Debit Card
  • TAP enabled Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard)
  • Apple Pay enabled device (phone, watch, etc.)
  • Credit Card over the phone / force entered

NOTE: Most Credit Cards have TAP functionality built in even if you are unaware of it. Additionally, TAP enabled cards generally feature this symbol:

Additional Methods of Payment
We request that you pay through the methods below only as a last resort:

  • Debit or Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard) chip or swipe
  • Cash

NOTE: Our debit terminal is wiped clean after any interaction with a customer and change will be provided to you in a small paper bag.

Reduction in Staff and Hours

Unfortunately, we have temporarily laid off our part-time staff. We wanted to protect our employees by reducing their contact with other people. This will also reduce the number of people who come in contact with you and the products we sell.

Thankfully, our part-time employees have other, full-time jobs that will carry them through. We know you miss them (and they miss you).

Because of this reduction in staff and the changes to operation, we have also reduced our hours of operation. We are open the following days and hours:

Resumption of Returns

We are accepting returns again. Our Pet Food Guarantee and return policy is still in affect.

If you purchased a product during our temporary return suspension and you would like to return it, please bring (1) the item and (2) the receipt OR a record of the date of purchase.

As we have resumed supplying receipts with all purchases, any purchase made after July 20 will once again require the original receipt to be returned.

FREE Delivery for anyone who cannot wear a mask

To ensure all our customers continue to have access to our prodcuts and services, anyone who cannot wear a mask immediately qualifies for FREE delivery once a month within Kitchener, Waterloo and Breslau. You do not have to purchase food or litter. You do not have to meet the $25 minimum.

Please contact us if you live outside the FREE delivery area or require more than one delivery a month as we may still be able to accomodate your needs.

FREE Delivery on Food and Litter Orders

To ensure all our customers still have access to food and litter, all orders that include food or litter will receive FREE delivery within Kitchener, Waterloo and Breslau.

FREE Delivery on Purchases Over $25 (before tax)

All purchases over $25 (before tax) continue to receive FREE delivery within Kitchener, Waterloo and Breslau.

Delivery Days

Typically, we deliver Monday through Saturday after the store closes. Occasionally, we may delivery earlier in the day. If this occurs, we will contact you ahead of time to ensure you can receive the delivery.

Unfortunately, we cannot deliver at a specified time of day. However, we can call ahead of the delivery to inform you that we are on the way.

Physical Distancing

Delivery to Houses
We will drop the product at your door or another requested location OUTSIDE the building. We will not enter your home nor interact with you directly. Once the item has been delivered, it will be your responsibility to bring it inside. At your request, we can call ahead to inform you that your delivery in on route. Once a delivery has been made, we are not responsible for lost or stolen products.

Delivery to Apartments
We will drop the product at your apartment building's front door or another requested location OUTSIDE the building. We will not enter the apartment building, including the foyer, nor will we interact with you directly. We will call ahead to ensure you are home and ask that you wait for us at the front door. If no response is received to our call, no delivery will be made and we will contact you to reschedule.

Delivery Payment

For deliveries scheduled over the phone, we can only accept accept Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard) for payment.

If you would like to pay with a TAP / Apple Pay enabled card or device, or with cash, you can come to our retail location to pay in person.

WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING CASH AT THE DOOR FOR DELIVERIES.

There continues to be no interruptions from our suppliers and we are still receiving food and other products almost daily. Additionally, we continue to take custom orders for food and other products.
